A must visit every time I come to Takayama. Still the best burgers in the world.

Booked 3 weeks prior via Facebook for their 1130am slot. Arrived and glad my reservation is ready. Their Hida beef burger was one of the reasons why we went to Takayama. It was worth the trip! Cozy place. Even the normal cheese burger was good. Yes! One burger was not enough! Hope we can go there and eat again!

Amazing burgers. Their speciality; the Hida Burger, tastes almost like a steak. Cozy atmosphere and unique style with cute little games to keep you entertained.

They are willing to do burgers without the meat (for vegetarians). Very friendly and helpful staff. The food was delicious.

We was exausted to eat ramen and we were been looking for to eat other things like burger. We found by casualty because the local was very hidden. The burgers and the price are very good. I recommend if you are in Takayama and want burgers

Best burger we had in a long time !! Good flavor, juicy beef, big tomato slice and generous salad... Also one of the only restaurant in old town open after 5pm! We are glad we went there...Decent priced menu : for 925 yen (june 2019), you get the regular burger with fries. The decor is very nice, in the vintage american style...BUT they only take cash ☹

Why? It's the center4hamburgers. Do I need more reason than that? Good stuff.

Superb tasting hamburgers with friendly lady staff. Onion rings best ever eaten. One Of the freshest greens I had in Japan. Also the tartar sauce mixed with fresh onions combined with a slice of fresh tomato in the cod fish burger was amazing!

Nice Hapburgers and very cool place. The staff is kind the plate may be more abboundant when you choose hambs and fries. But still a nice place.

You have to come to see for yourself this beautifully presented burger joint. I'm from Australia and the vibe was very homely. My friends and I came here to try the Hida Beef Burgers. It was amazing, one of the best burgers I've ever had. The Hida Beef was just perfect. The staff there was so friendly and nice as well! I highly recommend coming here it you're looking for a good burger place in the middle of Japan, Takayama

Very good hamburgers and cozy friendly place. 1 remark however. It opened at 6pm and we were there at exactly 6pm because we saw online it could be busy. There is a sign on the door that they don't take reservations on sundays and even though it was a sunday we weren't allowed in due to "reservations" and had to wait at least an hour...

Amazing burgers. Would highly recommend. The staff are really friendly and the place has a real retro feel to it. English menu avaliable. Beware it is a small venue with limited seating. We turned up at 6.30pm on a monday and were advised of an hour wait. We decided to just come back the next day as they opened for lunch and got a spot. Filled up really quickly. If you can make a reservation.

It is worth to have it in Takayama if you prefer Western Food...If there is no seats, you can take out for sure, but Hida beef burger only serve in the restaurant!!!Strongly recommend!!!

Best burger I have ever had till now

Ordered the cheeseburger and hida burger. Definitely can taste the difference in the patty with the hida patty definitely better. Wedges were good and well salted. The salad is fresh too. Hida burger set is ¥2650 a bit expensive but hida beef is typically expensive. The restaurant has a nice western feel to it which is unique to Japan.

Tasty Hida burger and excellent craft beers. A tad expensive with the Hida beef but we enjoyed it (~2500 yen per burger... Lots of much cheaper options available though <1000 yen ) ...especially after an afternoon of sake!

Fantastic burgers and friendly people. I ate here 4.5 years ago, and when I walked in Johnny Cash "I Walk the Line" was playing. This time it was Johnny Cash "Boy Named Sue." Great place to go for burgers and atmosphere.

We had here very delicious vegie toast and french fries. Its a small place with great interior and music. Very nice staff too that can speak English. She was very helpfull and kind.

Cosy place in American style with Johnny Cash music. Very friendly and helpful staff speaking decent English. You can try Hida beef burger here which is very tasty, but better be early, because it is limited. Popular place with only a couple of places to sit, so better make a reservation in advance or you will be queuing and waiting for a free place. Only cash accepted.

Really cute restaurant, and I understand why it gets very busy. When I went it was a Sunday night, and so was quiet. The actual restaurant is at the back of the building, so don't be put off by the entrance way. Walk through and you get to the main area. Good range of food options - not just burgers, there are soups, salads, and sandwiches available. The Hida burger is delicious. The local speciality is juicy and has a great taste.Excellent service, friendly staff, with English spoken. And, Neil Young on the stereo (what more could you want?!)Note - this restaurant is cash only. Thoroughly recommend.

This place serves beef burgers and the Hida beef burger is the special edition.The place is not spacious that it’s better to make a reservation first to avoid long wait. (We came at Sunday night and wait for about an hour)The cheese burgers are delicious, bread is well baked and the beef is juicy and seasoned appropriately. Hida beef burger is a must try for its stunningly tasty flavor, it’s a bit expensive but really worth it.The store also features the owner’s special and creative collections from around the world. Photos are not allowed to protect the creativity of the decoration yet you can take photos about your meals. The staffs show great hospitality and are very polite.

Really tasty Hida beef burger at this place! Would highly recommend! And their fries with cheese and salsa are also great. We also had the onion rings (not too greasy and have a crisp bite) as well as the cookies and cream milkshake (thick but well-blended). The staff are lovely and warm people and the ambience is charming- it’s a shame they dissuade photos of the interior. It’s themed around rock music and craft beer, and adds to the generally cozy and homey feel of the place.

Travelled the world and this is top 3 best hamburgers. Not a huge serving but so good. Get the expensive Hida Beef burger. (They have limited amount daily and run out so go early). You may have to stand in a line. Only 5 tables or so. Small and out of the way. Cute and quickly. Run by very nice family. We went two nights in a row. It was that good!

Much more than the name indicates: Awesome burgers, cozy interiors, lovely service.

A little gem. Eclectic retro collectors feel inside. Very cosy. The wagyu burger was beautiful however if I had to have a second meal, I’d probably opt for the regular cheeseburger which was very good also and use the difference to buy a great milkshake. The staff are very friendly and everything arrived at the same time for our family of 5 perfectly prepared.

Nice burger restaurant. The signature dish here is the 'Hida beef burger'. If you order a normal burger and compare it with the hida burger you will definitely taste the different qualities!Taking photos in restaurant is not welcomed but possible.(Due to respect to the owner and his creativity this post has no photos)
